Finally I had time to blog this incident that happened to us last weekend.

Okay, it was Saturday March 15 2008 at MOA. Me with ,, and joeyn went to see that Yoshinoya event at the music hall. There's only few cosplayers around. We went to the bay area at around 6pm and sat at the fountain there. After a while, a security guard approached us and asked us to leave. We asked why and he replied, "Bawal po kasi yung ganyang suot dito" (Those kind of attires are not allowed here). Okay, I was wearing my usual lolita attire, Kleng and Amaru was on their normal VK inspired attire.

What the? I immediately answered, "E ganito talaga kami manamit e, bakit niyo kami paaalisin?" (This is how we dress, why would you ask us to leave?) He went away after I said that.

At around 7pm, their usual fountain show started and we stood up. By then, the same security guard with another guard approached us again and explained that we must leave the area at once. I kept asking why and he explained that there was an incident of a riot done by those "rocker" kids lately and since then MOA doesn't allow rockers anymore in the area. I was very annoyed. WE ARE NOT ROCKERS! What really pissed me off is that when i asked him why on earth would they ban rocker-like/unusual attires on the place he answered me, "Hindi po kasi maayos yung suot niyo" (The way you dress is not proper.) WTF! Who are they to dictate what's proper from what is not? I immediately asked him, "Bakit, ano ba ang maayos?" (So, what is the proper?) He got stunned for a while not answering my question. He just replied a very LAME LAME answer. "Yun po kasi yung order ng management." (That is what the management ordered us.) I was totally annoyed that I asked him to call his manager. A man on a polo approached and asked the guard to just let us go.

GAAAAAAAAAAH! What the hell is wrong with you people? He just keep on saying, "Yun po kasi utos e" (That's what the order is.) Yea, he was just doing his job but to say that the way we dress is not proper? Who are you? god of God?

I really wanted to talk to their manager that night. It's against our right. It's even against the Constitution. No one can question the way you express yourself as long as you do not do harm to others in any way.

Philippines = Democratic country? I doubt.
